BN (Hons) Mental Health Nursing and MSc Mental Health Nursing
The School of Healthcare Sciences is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) Mental Health Nursing Field (3-year programme), Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) Mental Health Nursing Field Part Time and the 2-year MSc Mental Health Nursing programme.
Our School, based in Bangor, North Wales, works closely with health professionals and services to support innovation and excellence in healthcare education. We have a strong research profile in healthcare improvement and evidence-based practice.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified academic staff. Applicants must:
- Hold current NMC registration in the mental health field.
- Have a recorded teaching qualification with the NMC.
- Experience as an external examiner is desirable but not essential.
Additional desirable experience:
- Familiarity with online submission, marking, and feedback systems (Turnitin and Blackboard). Training will be provided if needed.
Role responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the quality and integrity of the programme through external moderation of assessments.
- Reviewing mental health field modules.
- Completing monitoring reports and attending the Board of Examiners.
