External Examiner – Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) Adult Nursing (3-year) and the MSc Adult Nursing (2-year) programmes.

The School of Medical and Health Sciences is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) Adult Nursing (3-year) and the MSc Adult Nursing (2-year) programmes.

The School is based in Bangor, North Wales, works closely with health professionals and services to support innovation and excellence in healthcare education. The School also has a strong world-leading research profile in healthcare improvement and evidence-based practice.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified academic staff who:

  • Hold current NMC registration in the Adult Nursing field.
  • Have a recorded teaching qualification with the NMC.
  • Experience as an external examiner is desirable but not essential.

Additional desirable experience:

  • Familiarity with online submission, marking, and feedback systems (e.g. Turnitin and Blackboard). Training will be provided if required.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the quality and integrity of the programmes through external moderation of assessments.
  • Reviewing both interprofessional and Adult Nursing field modules.
  • Completing annual monitoring reports and attending the Board of Examiners (virtually or in person).
