The School of Health Sciences is looking to recruit a new External Examiner for the 2026/27 academic year to support a level 7 CPD standalone module. The module that we are recruiting an external examiner for is:
- L7 Introduction to Statistics for Evidence Based Practice
The School of Health Sciences at the University of Surrey is a vibrant and innovative school, offering a broad range of educational programmes in healthcare.
External examiners are required to review and evaluate assessment marking; be a member of the Board of Examiners and attend 1-2 meetings per year, (these are likely to remain online for the foreseeable future); comment and give advice on programme content, balance and structure; and to complete an annual report as part of the University of Surreys quality assurance mechanisms. The University requires external examiners to attend a minimum of one Board of Examiners meeting per year.
It is essential that applicants for this post have appropriate applied statistics knowledge and expertise.
Experience of external examining would be an advantage but is not essential.
All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners. The successful applicant would be appointed with effect from 2026/27 for a term of four academic years.
