The Council welcomed members back to the House of Lords for our 2026 Parliamentary Reception.

The event was kindly hosted on our behalf by Baroness Hoey. We were delighted to have speeches from Steve Race MP, Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Department of Health and Social Care and the Shadow Health Secretary, Rt Hon. Stuart Andrew MP. Both thanked our members for their hard work and stayed to engage with them.

Members from across the country also met with parliamentarians whom the Council had invited as well as many they themselves had invited, meeting their local MPs to discuss the issues they face in healthcare education and research.

We will be following up with the MPs and peers who joined us and are already planning for our 2027 Parliamentary Reception.
