The Council’s new strategy commits to supporting members across the system including all four nations plus overseas associate members. It is with commitment to the voice of all our members that the Council is pleased to launch two new member networks: a Remote and Rural Network and a Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories Network.
The Remote and Rural Network is open to all members interested in discussing matters relating to remote and rural geographies and the nuances and challenges around providing healthcare services to local populations. Regardless of geography or experience, members of this network will meet to share ideas, collaborate and discuss issues pertinent to remote and rural communities. Members interested in joining can express interest by filling out our form.
The Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories Network is relevant to Council members in the unique and complex situations of working in the Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories. It aims to be an open, collaborative forum to discuss strategic and policy related matters.
A podcast has been released to coincide with the launch of these networks. In this podcast, the Council’s Policy and Research Manager, Robyn Cooke, is joined by the network Chairs, Dr Tracey McClean and Dr James Vinales, to provide more information on the purpose of the networks and how members can get involved.
