The Institute of Health and Social Care at London South Bank University has a long-standing reputation for excellence in the education, research and practice development of a variety of health and social care specialists.
The Division of Advanced Clinical Practice and Non-Medical Prescribing (including Leadership) is seeking to appoint an external examiner for our MSc in Leadership and Service Improvement in Health Care and Post Graduate Certificate Leadership in Health (Darzi) from September 2024.
The University operates a two-tier examination board system, with external examiners being initially appointed to a Subject Area Board where they will oversee a number of academic modules. More experienced external examiners may subsequently be appointed to an Award and Progression Examination Board. The Examination Board meets virtually three times a year, and there is an expectation that the external examiner will attend at least one Examination Board during the year and submit an annual report to the University.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified academic staff who hold a minimum of a Master’s degree. The ideal academic candidate for this post will have previous experience as an External Examiner in leadership and service improvement (although support will be provided to exceptional candidates without this prior experience) and should be currently active in educational delivery.
All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment.
