The School of Health at Leeds Beckett University, is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for our BSc (Hons) Counselling and Mental Health and some standalone CPD modules. The post starts on 1 November 2024 for four years.
Applicants should be working in UK HE with experience of teaching and examining at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and a professional registration such as HCPC, etc. External Examiners attend Board of Examiners meetings at least once a year, submit an annual report and review coursework. Previous experience of external examining is not necessary, as the University will provide online induction training and a mentor. The appointment is subject to approval by the University’s scrutiny process. The current fee for an External Examiners is £400 per annual, plus reasonable expenses. Due to potential reciprocity issues, please note that we are unable to appoint from the following institutions:
