Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) portfolio communicates the benefits of healthcare higher education and shares inclusive best practice in learning, recruitment and retention policy.

The Council’s EDI portfolio focuses on:

Seeking the best funding outcomes for student support and learning in practice
Delivering the Student Leadership Programme on a yearly basis
Delivering the Fellowship Scheme on a bi-yearly basis
Encouraging HEIs to grow their EDI agenda and develop more equitable practices

The Council’s EDI Strategic Policy Group provides strategic advice on the priorities and workstreams of the portfolio.

The Student Leadership Programme is also a critical component of this portfolio.
