The Role
As a Teaching Fellow in Children and Young Peoples Nursing you will undertake teaching and assessment while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience. Based within the School of Health and care you will work closely with other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience to ensure, as appropriate, relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.
Qualifications Required
- NMC Registration in Children Nursing (Current and Active) is essential for this role.
- An Honours Degree in an appropriate/ relevant subject area with professional qualification.
- A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one if not already held
- A PhD, or a Master’s Degree would be advantageous.
Our Successful Candidate
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching across higher education levels 4-7 in Children and Young Peoples Nursing within clinical practice or within higher education.
You will be able to demonstrate high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement and flare for teaching consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
You will have a passion for sharing knowledge and supporting students in their learning journey, both in clinical practice and in the classroom, with the ability to work flexibly to meet learner needs.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience supporting, enhancing and engaging in an active learning pedagogy with evidence in proactively supporting student success.
As a global education provider, experience and awareness of learners cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
