The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, School of Care Sciences, is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer, Midwifery, to join an existing team of academic staff and to contribute to a range of modules and courses across pre and post registration provision and programmes of scholarly activity and research. The post holder will support the Lead Midwife for Education and the course leader for the Bachelor of Midwifery (Hons) Programme across a range of activity, both undergraduate and post graduate, including the delivery of learning, teaching and assessment strategies and involvement in significant curriculum development processes. The post holder will also have key responsibilities to support the School of Care Sciences to manage and maintain established relationships with practice partners and to seek and secure new partnership as appropriate.
The post holder must have three years or more post-registration experience of offering midwifery services along a continuum of normal to complex births promoting holistic, evidence based family-centred care and management interventions.
The post holder must have active registration with the NMC as a midwife, have current experience of facilitating the learning and assessment of students across a range of practice and educational settings and be able to evidence a scholarly, evidence based approach.
The post holder will be based at the Glyntaff Campus.
