Salary: UH8 £40,927 to £51,799 pro rata pa depending on skills and experience

Main duties and responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated and experienced occupational therapist. You will be responsible for the teaching, support and assessment of apprentices at the University or on placement. You will utilise current evidence-base to underpin teaching and learning activities. You may participate in development and reviews of programmes including inter-professional developments across the School, and contribute to undergraduate curriculum developments; including planning, delivery and teaching of modules within the programme.
You will contribute to the administration of the School by undertaking additional roles, such as being a module lead and joining teams involved in activities such as admissions, timetabling or programme support. You will also be expected to undertake and contribute to Occupational Therapy research in due course.
Skills and Experience
You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with recent academic and/or practice experience and knowledge of the UK system. You’ll have a breadth of relevant occupational therapy practice in either physical and/or mental health. You will have a keen interest in in pre-registration education within occupational therapy and an awareness of degree apprenticeships for the profession.
Your application will demonstrate a sustained interest and knowledge of contemporary Occupational Therapy practice. It is essential that you have good oral and written communication skills and be proficient in the English language. You will demonstrate a willingness to undertake Occupational Therapy research and are able to work effectively as part of a team. You will be able to work without close supervision, be organised, take initiative and be self-motivating, and be adaptable to change and flexible in your approach. Being willing to contribute to inter-professional teaching and learning activities, with an interest in evidence-based healthcare is key.

Qualifications required
The successful applicant will hold an honours degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent). You will also hold or be close to completing a Master’s degree (or equivalent) or higher qualification in a relevant subject or have substantial relevant professional experience. You will need to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and have membership of RCOT
