The School of Health & Psychological Sciences is dedicated to the education and development of health professionals and the performance of high-quality research. It is located in one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. The School offers students excellent academic tuition at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We offer pre-registration degrees in: Nursing, Midwifery, Radiography, Psychology, Optometry, and Speech and Language therapy, while our suite of master’s programmes includes advanced courses in Nursing; Midwifery; Radiography; Psychology; Optometry; Speech, Language and Communication; Health Management, Policy and research; and Food Policy.
Responsibilities
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate with extensive experience in the area of Community Nursing to lead and build on our existing provision. They will identify educational and service development needs to help make evidence-based community health integral to programmes; as well as helping to strengthen the existing partnership between City and ELFT.
Person Specification
- The appointed candidate will have a higher degree in a relevant health or social science discipline, NMC or HCPC registration and a relevant teaching qualification, or a willingness to undertake one.
- A breadth and depth of specialist knowledge of community nursing is required to develop and enhance programmes of education.
- For appointment at Associate Professor level, more significant contributions in teaching and learning will be demonstrated.
