Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Advanced Clinical Practice (Part Time 0.5 FTE)
AECC University College is looking to appoint either a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Advanced Clinical Practice for our exciting new post graduate degree framework. Located in the beautiful coastal town of Bournemouth, Dorset with a mission to create a healthier society through education, research and clinical care, we are looking for like-minded individuals to join our diverse and growing multi-professional team.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of School, the successful candidate will be the discipline lead for Advanced Clinical Practice within the institution, developing the identity of advanced practice internally and externally. Working closely with the Curriculum Development Lead, CPD Course Lead and Head of Academic Enterprise and Engagement to explore future opportunities for post-registration education and acting as an ambassador for the institution in all aspects of advanced practice.
The successful candidate will lead academic delivery on the pre-registration degree and oversee the successful delivery of high-quality education and assessment to students.
They will develop and lead an academic and research strategy for the discipline and line manage senior academic staff. They will be the institution’s main liaison with professional and regulatory bodies on all matters related to academic delivery and accreditation and support the CPD Course Lead in discussions with onsite, private, NHS and HEE stakeholders on placement provision. The post holder will contribute to high quality teaching and research within the institution related to clinical practice, establishing and maintaining national or international recognition for their work and will seek out and establish CPD provision and professional development opportunities to support the health and care professions workforce.
About the person
We seek an enthusiastic and highly motivated healthcare professional to join our team who is either registered to practice in the UK or eligible to do so, with knowledge of the UK higher education sector and Advanced Clinical Practice. The successful candidate will have relevant experience, an ability to foster student learning and development, excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and a clear vision for the development of post graduate clinical education within the University College.
