We are seeking an enthusiastic researcher to join our team to work on the above project that is a collaboration between the Department of Nursing & Midwifery at Sheffield Hallam University and the National Institute of Health Research, Childrens and Young People’s MedTech Cooperative at Sheffield Children’s Hospital

You will be part of a multidisciplinary project team of doctors, nurses, young people, parents, researchers and technologists working on a project funded by the National Institute of Health Research, Invention for Innovation Programme. We aim to develop and evaluate the first NHS, user-led, clinically approved transition chatbot for YP aged 11-25 with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

After reviewing the literature, we will seek the views of young people and healthcare professionals to determine the information required in a chatbot and web-based materials, in order to support a seamless, well-informed and safe transition for YP aged 11-25 with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

You must have experience of working with children, young people and families and knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages including Word, Power Point, Access, Excel and local, national and international research repositories. An Honours degree in a relevant discipline and a Ph.D. (or be working towards a Ph.D.) are also essential.
