Due to the growth of student numbers, we are looking to appoint a Reader in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing who will provide dynamic leadership for academic research and taught programmes across the academic area.

Key duties of the post holder will be to contribute and lead on teaching, research and scholarly activity; as well as contributing to, and leading, commercial income generation activity and to develop and attract research and teaching related income streams, relevant to the Faculty and of benefit to the University.

The role holder will also play a key role in supporting, expanding and enhancing the research profile of the University, within health & wellbeing.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a practical awareness of current developments in health & wellbeing as well as being able to facilitiate the creation and maintenance of a range of links between courses and employers in the sector. A PhD and membership of the Higher Education Academy is an essential requirement of the role.
