The University of Northampton is looking for a qualified Physiotherapist with clinical and educational experience for a 1.0 FTE Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer substantive position. The post will include developing and teaching pre-registration MSc modules.

We are seeking experienced Physiotherapy educators to join our enthusiastic team and forward-thinking team to contribute towards the delivery of education and research in the Health Professions subject group. Our portfolio includes both full-time and part-time delivery of education at BSc, MSc and PhD levels across the various Health professions.

The successful candidate for this post will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check.

About You

You will have expertise in physiotherapy rehabilitation and education, curriculum design and research and bring current or very recent experience in facilitating the Physiotherapy education. You will have an understanding of using research methodology and a commitment to the research agenda. You will be joining a team which is supportive and committed to your professional development.

You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, be educated to BSc level(Lecturer) or MSc level(Senior Lecturer) with evidence of active continuing professional development.



  • MSc in Physiotherapy
  • Degree qualification or equivalent in relevant subject
  • Relevant professional qualification registered as a Physiotherapist with the HCPC


  • PhD or Doctorate in a relevant subject, completed or within 12 months of completion.
  • Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or willingness to obtain within 12 months
