In this key role you will strive to enhance nursing and healthcare practice and the reputation of our School of Nursing in the area of children’s nursing and healthcare across all domains of practice. Articulate and well respected, you will teach on pre-registration nursing programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, taking the lead on modules where appropriate. In particular, you will have the ability to inspire our students and will have a keen interest in developing education. Alongside being involved in the pastoral care of students, you will be encouraged and supported to further your interests in research, enterprise or professional practice.

The Person
You will be a nurse on the NMC register, educated to at least degree level, with experience of working within the field of children’s nursing. Equivalent professional qualifications considered. You are resourceful, highly motivated and ambitious. You are interested in teaching and can share your skills and expertise with the nursing and healthcare workforce of the future. A teaching qualification is desirable but non-essential. The Faculty supports new members of staff to gain appropriate qualifications and are keen to support ongoing academic and professional development.
