Our successful BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing course is already recognised by the NMC for academic quality, innovation and close partnerships to healthcare and wider sectors in which our graduates work.

As either a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer, the post holder will be expected to contribute to developing simulation-based education (SBE) and immersive technologies and align this with your contemporary nursing expertise for acute/community nurse education. Activity will be varied and at SL level will involve embedding a vision for SBE alongside leadership responsibilities; at both levels this will include planning, design of teaching and research activity associated with this, in addition to making wider contributions with practice partners and activity associated with the School and University.  These roles are integral to the success of enhancing our provision and you will be working with an outstanding team and facilities that includes an immersive suite, virtual reality equipment and robotics within our new innovative simulation centre. Our mission is to provide outstanding education for the future Nursing and Allied Health workforce in a face to face supportive and interprofessional community.

You will need to be a current nurse registrant (Adult) with the Nursing Midwifery Council, have expertise in engaging in simulation-based education with sound pedagogical foundations and be able to offer inspirational learning and teaching to students.
