About You

You will be an experienced clinician, with a passion for teaching, learning and keen to share your professional nursing expertise and knowledge with our future nurse practitioners. You will possess transferable skills of adaptability, resilience and be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver multi-professional learning. You will have an established track record of supporting nurse students either in clinical practice or in an academic environment.

A commitment to providing an excellent student experience, along with an ability to develop effective partnerships with students, practice and service users/ carers and being an innovative and effective teacher, are all attributes which are valued within our high performing department.

We are seeking individuals from all fields of nursing practice with current NMC registration and evidence of further professional development

About the Role

We have a nationally unique portfolio of programmes, including dual professions e.g. Nurse & Social Work, Nurse Paramedic and Dual and Single Nursing field registration, at both undergraduate and post graduate level.

Successful candidates will provide our students with an excellent learning experience with high levels of support across theory and practice learning. You will be involved in actively developing students digital and online skills, advanced nursing skills, as well as providing solid foundations in professionalism, leadership and research informed practice.

You will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Nurse Education portfolio. You will be able to contribute to all aspects of nurse education, including supporting practice, the academic assessor role, and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience. We would particularly welcome candidates who are looking to develop a career in education and can demonstrate experience of clinical teaching and/ or practice assessment.

There will be opportunities to be involved in research, ongoing scholarship and professional practice, and you will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the department through the activities of one of our Research Units.
