Are you an experienced registered Nurse looking to start or continue an academic career at the Exeter School of Nursing in the beautiful Southwest of England?
We are looking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Nurse to join the well-established team of nursing lecturers based at the Exeter School of Nursing in the beautiful Southwest of England. You will contribute to teaching excellence related to nursing care and contribute to the academic and clinical development of Adult Nursing at the University. This will include the development and delivery of foundation degree, undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare programmes. You will also be encouraged to contribute to research within the School and join an appropriate research group.
We offer foundation degree, undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD programmes. Research in the School was rated highly in the REF2021 and continues to grow. The University of Plymouth Clinical Schools initiative is an exciting development, through which applied nursing and midwifery research focuses on topics that are timely and relevant to advancing the quality of care.
You should possess appropriate professional qualifications, registration as a Nurse with the NMC is essential, relevant post registration experience as a nurse, a Degree in health or a related subject, relevant postgraduate qualifications and a teaching qualification (or be willing to work to achieve this).
This role will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus a Adult’s Barred List check.
We have a permanent FTE of 1.6 to fill and we will consider requests for full time, part time or job shares. The successful candidate/s will be based at the University of Plymouth site in Exeter, and be required to occasionally travel to the main campus in Plymouth.
Remote working is available up to 2 days a week.
