Lecturer (multiple posts) – Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (South of England)

We are seeking multiple experienced Registered Adult Nurses located in mid to south of England to take on the role of an Apprentice Educator Supervisor in Practice (AESiP). You will have a passion for education and supporting the apprentices in the clinical setting. The role also requires the successful candidate to take be an autonomous practitioner who can offer expert knowledge, guidance and support to the nurse apprentice and the wider team. The AESIP is both exciting and challenging and requires excellent knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning; supporting staff and trainees within and across teams, and successfully leading modules in an HEI setting. The AESIP will primarily support the registered nurse degree apprentices in the practice and educational setting in order to support the achievement of clinical and academic elements of the programme. They will offer support to the practice placement providers to ensure the NMC and Apprenticeship competencies and requirements are met.

We are working with Spire Healthcare with a ‘grow your own’ nursing workforce model therefore, there are multiple AESiP posts available across England. The AESiP will be employed by the University of Sunderland, but will be based in an area which will support the Spire Hospital Network. Please note these posts are fixed term for up to 5 years.

  • Bushy – Watford
  • St Anthony’s – South West London
  • St Anthony’s
  • Cambridge / Norwich

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development and training of prospective nurses undergoing the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship in the vibrant School of Nursing and Health Sciences and Spire Healthcare. You will be required to contribute to the promotion of teaching, research and reach-out activities across the School of Nursing and Health Sciences and to support the apprentices in the clinical setting. You will join our team of creative nurse educators and contribute to our thriving partnership. The Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship is well established and the University has developed good relationships with NHS and Private providers

You will have a Degree and preferably a post graduate qualification, in education or specialist clinical practice and have wide experience in the practice of supporting students. If you hold the skills and experience, we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
