Closing Date:

Salary Range:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant team of academics in our recently re-validated physiotherapy programmes (BSc Hons & MSc Pre-registration), providing a stimulating learning experience, motivating and inspiring students to become critical thinkers and high-quality professionals.

Our lecturers develop and utilise a range of teaching methods to support student learning in both theory and practice, and act as a personal tutor; using listening, interpersonal and pastoral care skills to deal with sensitive issues. A key part of the role is collaborating with colleagues across the School to develop research opportunities, and it is expected that you will continually update your disciplinary and/or professional knowledge and understanding to develop personal (and, where appropriate, collaborative) research objectives. We work in partnership with students, academics, researchers, service users and service colleagues to deliver high quality learning and teaching based contemporary research findings and practice. In order to be successful in this role you must have:

  • A good first degree and MSc, and be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council
  • Up-to-date knowledge of physiotherapy practice who has held a senior practitioner role
  • Professional experience as a senior practitioner or at an advanced practice level
  • A Higher Education teaching qualification and/or an HEA Fellowship, or willingness to undertake this within the first 12 months

If you have a PhD or Doctorate and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the university has an active programme for supporting early career researchers.
