To contribute to teaching, scholarship, professional practice, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement in the Department of Allied Health Professionals in the School of Health and Life Sciences.
The standard TSPP academic role at the University includes a combination of teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement and associated administration activities. While all roles will combine these areas of work, the relative weight of each will vary between and over time for each individual role holder.
Applicants must have a first degree in relevant discipline / equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline and a Masters’ degree in relevant discipline/equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline.
Requirements are:
Knowledge of and ability to teach a range of Occupational Therapy related subjects.
Registered with the HCPC
Knowledge and experience of Occupational Therapy service delivery across a range of settings and variety of populations.
Experience of supporting students on practice placements
Professional and contemporary knowledge in subject area
Significant practical work in associated professional field
Evidence of continuing professional development
Appreciation of all aspects of relevant governance requirements
Ability to support students and contribute to the wide student experience including experience of assessing students in practice
