The Faculty of Health Sciences is a new and dynamic Faculty at the University of Hull. The Education and Research profile spans through Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedicine, Allied Health, Social Work, Bio-Medical Science and Psychology to Sports Health and Exercise Science.
To support our new dietetics provision, we are seeking to appoint one 0.2FTE permanent lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics.
The post holder will teach across a range of modules on the pre-registration MSc Nutrition and Dietetics programme. The post will involve the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students, including practice placements and research. You will be educated to a minimum of a Master’s degree and you will be registered with the HCPC as a dietitian. Experience of teaching in an academic setting is essential. You will be required to hold or be willing to undertake a post-graduate certificate in education.
The availability of state-of-the-art equipment and facilities supported by dedicated technical staff provides numerous teaching and research opportunities for staff and students. You should have good organisational, inter-personal, and communication skills, a student-centred approach, and have a passion for research and enterprise activities as well as continued professional development.
