The key duties of the role holder will be to contribute to the teaching and delivery of the Operating Department Practitioner programme, undergraduate and taught postgraduate nursing and related programmes, including the academic and personal support of students. In addition, to contribute to the student recruitment and admissions of the Operating Department Practitioner Programme.

HCPC and/or NMC registration is an essential requirement for these roles along with a first degree and preferably a teaching qualification. We are particularly interested in candidates with contemporary experience in Theatre, anaesthetics and scrubs (experience in recovery would be desirable). A commitment to undertaking a PhD and membership of the Higher Education Academy is an essential requirement of the roles.

Successful candidates should demonstrate a practical awareness of current developments in Nursing Education as well as being able to facilitate the creation and maintenance of a range of links between courses and the Nursing sector.
