Bangor University School of Medical and Health Sciences is offering an exciting opportunity for an aspiring or experienced passionate Clinical Practitioner to join our team committed to the delivery of high quality, evidence informed academic nursing programmes. At Bangor University we offer a stimulating environment and support to enable you to fulfil your professional ambitions. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of communications skills and physical examinations skills to students. Working across the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences you will be responsible for leading the development, organisation and delivery of innovative approaches to simulated learning and clinical skills for all health programmes. As an expert practitioner, it is expected that you will have experience in running clinical simulations and supporting staff and students using your skills to create a safe learning environment based on sound pedagogical foundations to ensure our students have a first-class learning experience. Available at Grade 7, this post provides an opportunity for aspiring or experienced candidates to be part of an enthusiastic team to take our programmes forward in and support students’ learning.

Candidates will have current professional registration (on the appropriate part of the register) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health and Care Professions Council. Candidates will also possess a degree in a relevant subject area.

The School of Medical and Health Sciences is an interprofessional school which sits within the College of Human Sciences and provides medical, health and care education and research at Bangor University. The School works in partnership with health, social and educational care providers through well established links to enable a total clinical and academic experience to be provided for students. The School offers a career-spanning portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and short courses for health and care and allied professionals. The School comprises over 200 staff, delivering to more than 1300 students from across the health and medical professions. The School’s portfolio of professional programmes continues to expand, with new programmes in Dental Hygiene and Pharmacology commencing soon, with a programme in pharmacy currently in development.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
