The Children’s Nursing Division at London South Bank University one of the largest in the U.K.  Our students are placed at hospitals in across London and the South East.  We are interested in individuals who would enjoy inspiring the next generation of nurses reach their full potential.

About you

Our ideal Lecturer / Senior Lecturer candidate will have a passion for teaching and significant experience of working in children and young people’s nursing practice. As well as thriving in a collaborative environment, maintaining a perspective on the collective needs of the department, you will be equally capable of working autonomously, trusted to use your initiative and to take ownership of those areas within your responsibility. Part-time positions we will be considered.

The skills and experience you will need to be successful

Possession of a higher degree is essential, possession of a teaching qualification is desirable at Lecturer level, and essential for a Senior Lecturer position.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience of working in a hospital or community setting as a children’s nurse.

Details about the role

This role is offered on a full-time and permanent basis.

The nature of this post is such that the post-holder is expected to work such hours as are reasonably necessary in order to fulfil your duties and responsibilities.

For full-time posts, formal scheduled teaching responsibilities should not exceed 18 hours in any week or a total of 550 in the teaching year. Please note that the University is operating a hybrid working model which means a mix of working on site and from home, confirmation of days worked on campus are arranged with the line manager.
