The School of Health Sciences is dedicated to the education and development of health professionals and the performance of high-quality research. It is located in one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. The School offers students excellent academic tuition at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We offer pre-registration degrees in: Nursing, Midwifery, Radiography, Optometry, and Speech and Language therapy, while our suite of master’s programmes includes advanced courses in Nursing; Midwifery; Radiography; Optometry; Speech, Language and Communication; Health Management, Policy and research; and Food Policy.

Responsibilities

  • We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate with extensive experience in the area of community nursing particularly the management of long-term conditions. The successful applicant will be an NMC registered nurse and independent non-medical prescriber.
  • You will provide high-quality education to our undergraduate and postgraduate students and demonstrate an ability to be innovative and flexible to meet the changing needs of the workforce.

Person Specification

  • The appointed candidate will have a higher degree in a relevant health or social science discipline, NMC or HCPC registration and a relevant teaching qualification, or a willingness to undertake one.
  • A breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in community nursing and non-medical prescribing.
