The School of Allied Health Professionals, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences seeks to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Radiographers to join our nationally recognised lecturer team on a fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave with an additional part-time permanent post. Successful applicants will teach across the School’s undergraduate curriculum in both university and clinical settings, with particular focus on the BSc Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) programmes.

The BSc (Hons) Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) programme has been recognised, by both employers and graduating students, as high quality, coming 2nd in the UK (United Kingdom) for the National Student Survey in 2020 and 2021. Enjoying excellent facilities, you will teach students in a bespoke Radiography Diagnostic Imaging Suite with state-of-the-art simulation facilities and bespoke digital health hub space for image interpretation.

The Radiography programme has a newly revalidated traditional taught radiography programme and an apprentice route (BSc Radiography route). The addition of postgraduate provision and working with the Imaging Academy Hub at UHNM offers exciting prospects to individuals wishing to further their scholarship activities, as well as develop their teaching skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for those currently working clinically who wish to gain academic experience. Shared posts with clinical working will be considered to maintain clinical skills as well as seconded radiographers in shared posts.

You will play a part in the development of educational initiatives aligned with the School strategic direction and will pursue scholarly activities in line with the School focus. You will be an HCPC registered Radiographer (or equivalent), with an appreciation of the principles of teaching and learning in higher education.
