Brief duties of the Role
To contribute actively to excellence in education by designing and delivering broadly based, substantive and effective teaching, and provide learning support, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (e.g. curriculum development and review, assessment and feedback, research supervision, etc.) as agreed with the Head of School.
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver excellent teaching, to contribute to the administration and management of the School, and to the local, regional and international profile of the School.
Skills and qualifications required
The post will include module leadership for CPD courses such as Non Medical Prescribing and Consultation and Assessment (these are run at UG and PG level). This will require management and administration and some supervision, support and assessment and teaching of students on our existing modules, and generally enhancing our research-led teaching in Nursing. We have a high reputation for our innovative educational delivery of Nursing programmes
Applicants should have a strong commitment to team working and enhancing the contribution of research and education to Nursing or other Registered Healthcare Profession. We would expect the candidate to have professional experience, meeting the requirements for revalidation with the NMC or HCPC as well as a commitment to uphold and to exhibit professional behaviors and attitudes in keeping with the professional practice and NHS values.
