We are seeking a Lecturer with a desire to achieve excellence in teaching, research and practice. You will be based within the Midwifery team in the Department of Midwifery and Health Sciences. As a Lecturer you will facilitate learning across the pre-registration BSc (Hons) Midwifery programme as well as supporting some post-registration and postgraduate leaning. The Midwifery team provides education to students on the Lansdowne campus in Bournemouth and on the St Mary’s Community Health Campus in Portsmouth. You will be based on the Bournemouth campus, but there is an expectation that you will teach across sites and visit NHS Trust locations. You must be registered on Part 2 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Register (Midwifery) and have relevant teaching experience.

You will be qualified to Doctorate level or be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level and the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from the date of appointment. You will be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
