External Expert – PGT Medical Imaging and Advanced Clinical Practice

We are seeking to appoint an External Expert for an upcoming reapproval of event at the University of Bradford. The existing MSc Medical Imaging and MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner Radiography Programmes have undergone a Periodic Review and as an outcome a revised curriculum is to be presented for approval. A new apprenticeship for MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner Radiography has also been developed and is being presented for approval alongside these programmes.

The School of Allied Health Professions and Midwifery within the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Bradford is home to the suite of Radiography postgraduate programmes. The MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner Radiography programmes are designed to offer flexible funding routes to achieving the four pillars of advanced practice.
The MSc Medical Imaging Programme supports knowledge and skill development in CT, MRI and other areas of medical imaging to support, lead and enhance service delivery. All programmes aim to develop radiographers as autonomous learners capable of engaging with complex academic work at Masters’ level.

As an External Experts you will be invited to review programme documentation and submit a written report, attendance at the online meeting is not required. The successful candidate will be sent the documentation on four weeks prior to the reapproval meeting and will then have 2 weeks window to read and complete a written report to return to the University. No attendance at the approval meeting is required.

Applicants should be either a registered diagnostic radiographer with a background advanced clinical practice or from higher education delivering post-registration diagnostic radiography education. They should teach at Masters’ level and have experience of quality assurance within the Higher Education sector in the UK.

Experts external to the University bring their professional expertise and insight to activities such as programme review, modification and approval. They are a valuable asset to the University in assuring that the programmes it delivers are academically coherent, current in terms of the most recent academic, professional and industrial developments and relevant to the needs of employers.
