The School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery, University of Sheffield, is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified external examiner for the MMedSci Advanced Clinical Practice Neonatal and Paediatric Pathways (Apprenticeship) and (Non-apprenticeship). The Individual will be appointed to both roles.
Applicants will be required to have the relevant clinical and educational experience in the above specialties. Whilst external examiner experience is desirable, we will also welcome applications and expression of interest from individuals new to the role. The postgraduate courses are run over a period of 3 academic years.
Full course details will be provided to the appointee. Board of Examiners meeting are currently held virtually.
The successful applicant would be appointed from September 2024 for a term of 4 years and would be joining other external examiners for the Advanced clinical practice programme. Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Comment on/contribute to programme development
- Review, approve and provide feedback on all student assessment procedures, including the End Point Assessment for the apprenticeship students and QA
- Attend relevant examinations boards/Boards of Study/Gateway Boards
- Provide an annual report
