The University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic to act as External Examiner for the V100/V150 Community Practitioner Prescribing modules.
The successful applicant must be registered with the NMC (Level 1), hold the SCPHN or CSP title and be a qualified prescriber (V100/V150 or V300). The applicant will also have experience of teaching on and leading prescribing courses. He/she will be required to review both Level 6 and Level 7 work including: numeracy exam; pharmacology exam; essay and clinical assessment document.
There is one intake per year in January (Semester 2). The External Examiner will be expected to attend at least one programme assessment board per year (August/September), review student work, contribute to the overall assessment process and produce an annual report.

The appointment will be with effect from September 2022 and will be for a period of four years.
