The University of Northampton is looking for an External Examiner for Post Graduate Diploma Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) for Health Visiting and School Nursing fields and Post Graduate Certificate in Practice Education.
The role will involve contributing to the quality assurance of the programme for a range of students studying at academic level 7. We currently have 1 cohort per year of approx. 25 students.
You will be involved with the approval of assessment tasks, moderation of student work, an annual report and attendance at exam board (minimum of one per year).
You may be asked to provide comments on proposed modifications to the programme and/or associated content materials.
Applicants should hold the appropriate NMC SCPHN professional qualification (HV or SN) and appropriate academic qualifications.
We are looking for someone:
• who is suitably qualified with expertise in the above areas, ideally a Programme Leader or Senior Lecturer on similar programmes;
• previous experience as an external examiner is preferred but not essential
The appointment will be for the four academic years commencing October 2024.
