Edinburgh Napier University is seeking to appoint and an experience and suitably qualified academic to act as External Examiner for the Pre-Registration Bachelor of Nursing (BN) programme and associated modules. The BN programme covers adult, child, learning disabilities and mental health nursing.
The successful applicant is expected to provide external examination for this programme and cover a range of modules. The applicant should be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register. Knowledge of pre-registration nursing programmes is required and previous experience in external examining is desirable.
The appointment will commence as soon as possible, and the tenure is for a period of four years. All External Examiner appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment. External Examiners are expected to attend Board meetings and submit an annual report.
