St George’s University of London post-registration team are seeking two external examiners to support the delivery of the post-registration programme, including level 5,level 6 and level 7 modules in Advanced Clinical Practice, Paramedic Practice and Healthcare Practice. The ideal candidates will be experienced Paramedics, Advanced or Critical Care Paramedics, ideally possessing a level 7 qualification. You will have experience of working within higher education, with either a part or full time lecturing role, and with experience of assessment procedures within higher education.
The post registration team are a group of experienced, friendly, and enthusiastic educators, with a range of clinical skills, who are looking for keen individuals to join the team and provide feedback that will be used to develop the programme. The External Examiner will be responsible for contributing to the quality assurance of these programmes. You will be involved in the approval of assessment tasks, moderation of student work, completion of an annual report and will be invited to attend examination boards and to visit onsite practical examinations. You may also be approached and asked to provide comments on proposed modifications and the development of new modules or of any revalidation and review processes.
This position will commence in June 2022 for a tenure of 4 years. Applications will be considered from individuals new to the examining role with relevant professional experience.
