School of Health Sciences is looking to recruit an External Examiner for the successful MSc Speech, Language and Communication (Advance Studies). The course is aimed at individuals who already hold a professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and want to extend their knowledge and skills. The course is delivered online.
The post will commence from September 2022 and will be based on an initial four-year term. The focus of the role of EE will be to scrutinise and examine a variety of modules within the MSc Speech, Language and Communication (Advance Studies).
External examiner responsibilities include:
- moderation of assessments
- completion of an annual monitoring report
- online attendance at subject panels where student marks are ratified. A schedule of subject panels per academic session will be made available.
Experienced and new external examiners will be considered provided the applicant has the relevant professional qualification(s) and experience. Relevant professional experience in the fields of Speech and Language Therapy is an essential requirement for this post.
