The University of Northampton is looking for an External Examiner for MSc Counselling with Children and Young People (CCYP):

This is a professional qualification which follows BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) professional requirements, as well as Level 7 Learning Outcomes for timetabled tutorials and work-based learning. The course involves six modules, 4 focusing on clinical aspects and 2 on research methods. PSYM111, PSYM062, PSYM066 and PSYM067 are our clinical modules, all focusing on different aspects of the counselling work with children and young people, and are specific to this program. PSYM085 and PSYM086 are our research methods modules and are shared with other Masters programs in the counselling and mental health subject area.
We are looking for someone:
- who is suitably qualified with expertise in the above areas, ideally a Programme Leader or Senior Lecturer on similar programmes;
- previous experience as an external examiner is strongly preferred
The appointment will be for the four academic years 2021 to 2025, from 1 October 2021
