We seek an External Examiner (EE) for the undergraduate Master of Nursing (Adult) and BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) programmes to start in Autumn 2024. You will work alongside the Programme Leaders, Programme Team and the current External Examiner for the Quality Assurance and Enhancement of the programmes. The programmes are 4-year, full-time, and lead to professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). You will be responsible for a selection of modules from SCQF levels 9, 10 and 11, contributing to the degree classification.
The ideal candidate should have a solid academic background in nursing, extensive experience in the field, and a thorough understanding of the SCQF levels 9, 10 and 11. Various assessment strategies are utilised, including written assignments, exams, OSCAs, reflective accounts, presentations, practice assessment documents and e-portfolios. We also welcome EEs to be part of the exam setting and provide comments on new curricula as they develop.
