The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at Bournemouth University are looking to appoint an External Examiner for CPF framework units focused on Leadership and Service improvement. These units are delivered at both level 6 and level 7 to a wide range of health and social care professionals and are pre-dominantly worked-based. The Framework allows health and social care students to progress from post registration/post qualification awards to a ‘top-up’ first degree and continue through PG Cert, PG Dip to MA Advanced Practice. Ideally we would like to appoint as experienced external examiner however this is not essential. You must be a registered health or social care professionals, with either the NMC, HCPC or Social Work England. The post is for four years and would involve attending one exam board a year. An induction programme is offered.
The units covered would include the two final units of the Masters award, these are ‘Preparing for Service Improvement’ and ‘Service Improvement’ both of which allow students to demonstrate their autonomous and independent ability within a complex professional context, to create knowledge which expands or redefines existing knowledge and/or develops new approaches to service improvement. The projects are completed in the practice setting and a real demonstration of innovation to promote improvement.
