The post will commence from September 2024 and will be based on an initial four-year term.
The focus of the role of EE will be to scrutinise and examine a variety of cardiac modules including:
- APM039 Specialist Core Skills in Cardiac Care (runs once per year),
- APM035 Specialist Role Development in Cardiac Care (runs twice per year), and
- APM068 Cardiothoracic Critical Care (runs twice per year).
External examiner responsibilities include moderation of assessments, completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at subject panels where student marks are ratified. A schedule of subject panels per academic session will be made available. Experienced and new external examiners will be considered provided the applicant has the relevant professional qualification(s) and experience. Relevant professional experience in the fields of adult nursing and mental health nursing and a valid teaching qualification are essential requirements for this post. Furthermore, the appointment will be subject to Right to Work in the UK and this will involve checking passport documentation.
