We are seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy Degree Apprenticeship programme. The programme is based within the School of Health Professions, Faculty of Health. Students on the pathways will be pre-registration occupational therapy students but will also share modules with students from other health professions, for example physiotherapists, podiatrists, paramedics and social workers.
This position does require the external examiner to be an Occupational Therapist with experience of educational provision, have a recordable teaching qualification and a current registration with the HCPC.
The appointment will be for four years from 1 August 2024 and the commitment required is as follows:
• To review a range of coursework throughout the year.
• To attend via Zoom assessment panels and the submission of external examiner reports.
• To engage in communication with the programme team.
• To carry out an interim visit per year, either in person or by virtual means, to meet with staff and students to obtain feedback on assessment in practice and to strengthen your engagement with the ongoing teaching, learning and assessment processes.
