We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our existing External Examiner as an External Examiner for our BSc (Hons) Midwifery programme and two CPD Development of Special and Intensive Care of the Newborn modules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate the assessment processes and outcomes for the BSc (Hons) Midwifery programme.
- Provide impartial and constructive feedback on the curriculum, teaching, and assessment methods.
- Attend examination boards and contribute to the decision-making process regarding student progression and awards.
- Ensure that the standards of the programme are comparable to similar programs at other institutions.
- Submit an annual external examiner report
Requirements:
- A relevant academic and professional qualification in Midwifery.
- Significant experience in teaching and assessing at higher education level.
- Familiarity with current developments in midwifery education and practice.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Commitment to upholding academic standards and integrity.
