Edinburgh Napier University is seeking to appoint an external examiners for its Bachelor of Nursing (Child Health) Programme and modules contained within the programme. The programme recruits students across 4 fields of Nursing (Adult Health; Child Health; Learning Disabilities and Mental Health) an external examiner is required for the Child Health field of Nursing. Applications are sought for an examiner that has demonstrable experience of teaching and assessing in the following subject areas:
- BN [Child Health]
Clinical nursing practice for child health students; essential skills for child health; vulnerability in childhood; child health nursing in diverse environments; acute care in child health.
External examiners for the BN programme would be expected to meet with students at least once per year in addition to attendance at Examination Boards. Most coursework is electronically submitted by students and is marked online using Grademark and Turnitin. External examiners will be required to use the online moderating process. User guides and support will be available. The University appointments for external examiners are normally for a period of 4 years.
