The Faculty of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the above programme, which commences on the October 2024. The University of Hull has a long history of providing high quality social work education and the Apprenticeship programme complements our existing provision, providing a work-based route into the social work profession.
The external examiner will have experience of teaching and examining at a Higher Education institution in the area of Social Work. They should have an excellent understanding of quality assurance matters, including the QAA Quality Benchmarks. Prior experience of being an External Examiner is preferred alongside expertise as evidenced through publications in the field of Social Work and SWE registration. The role will include attendance at Examination boards and chairing the End Point Assessment , submission of annual reports, reviewing coursework, examination scripts and providing feedback to markers.
Appointments last for 4 years in duration (October 2024 – September 2028).
