The School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Worcester is seeking an experienced midwifery academic to serve as an External Advisor (EA) for the development of a new BSc Midwifery Degree Apprenticeship and re-approval of the BSc (Hons) Midwifery. The re/approval event is scheduled for February 2026.
The fee will be confirmed in the letter of appointment.
Reasonable expenses incurred as part of the role as an external advisor will be reimbursed by the university.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work with/meet the course team to advise on course development
- Review documentation
- Provide recommendations
- Produce a report on the course proposal
Qualifications
- Registered Midwife
- Recent contemporary midwifery knowledge
- Relevant experience of Higher Education teaching- normally at least five years,’ including professional regulatory knowledge
- No professional relationship with the University of Worcester (or its partner institution) or staff involved with the course in the last five years
