The Faculty of Health Studies, at the University of Bradford, has a rich heritage of providing health and social care education across a wide range of professions, including Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Advanced Practice and Healthcare Leadership.
We are looking for an outstanding individual to lead a new era of simulation in health and social care education across all our education provision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and across theory and placement activity. Leading cross-Faculty and cross-University collaborative working practices in simulated health and social care learning environments, embedding innovation and best practice, including digital and immersive technologies, in health and social care curricula. The role holder will work with staff across all disciplines, students, our service user and carer community and our clinical practice partners to develop, implement and evaluate a new strategy for simulation in health and social care education.
The launch of this new post for the Faculty coincides with the launch of other leadership roles in Digital Education, Practice Education, Academic Quality and Interprofessional Education to maximise opportunities for strategic alignment, particularly for sustainable simulated placement learning opportunities. We have made significant investment in our teaching and learning facilities, and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with expert knowledge, experience, motivation, and a skill to drive innovation at scale. This is a great time to join us at the start of something very exciting.
