Through the provision of professional, collaborative academic leadership you will support the work of the Executive Dean, Head of School and PVC (Students & Teaching) to contribute to the effective coordination and continuous improvement of the School’s activities in relation to learning, teaching and assessment, student experience, student success, employability, and student support.
You will engender a culture of co-operation and respect and promote an inclusive learning culture ensuring the achievement of excellent standards contributing to the effective development and delivery of curricula ensuring its currency. You will line manage and appraise others ensuring effective delivery of the University strategy and the achievement of the strategic KPIs.
You will be an NMC registered nurse, educated to doctoral level and must be able to demonstrate contemporary understanding of the health care education sector, as well as having experience of managing and co-ordinating resources and demonstrable experience of working with health care education regulatory processes and governance systems. Success in this role will require you to have experience in portfolio development, implementation and review. Demonstrable ability to lead a change management agenda and to embrace new ways of working are essential.
With excellent interpersonal and communication, you will be able to utilise a leadership and a coaching style and show ability to think strategically to develop and deliver strategic plans. You will be personally credible, self-confident and resilient, and be able to command confidence and trust to secure the co-operation and support of internal and external stakeholders.
