Professor – Grade 10 (Competitive salary & benefits). Grade and salary will be awarded on basis of experience, expertise and research profile.

The NMAHP Research Unit wishes to appoint a leading Nurse researcher to enhance its position as an internationally recognised centre of research in Nursing, Midwifery and the Allied Health Professions. The core function of the post is to lead and further develop a body of research of international standing, in line with the Unit’s remit to undertake applied research to improve the health and wellbeing of patients and populations in areas directly relevant to the practice of NMAHPs. The candidate will be required to demonstrate they have a strong track record of international standing in leading health research that is directly relevant to Nursing practice and for which they have acquired significant research funding leading to demonstrable impact.
The Unit requires an Associate Professor/Professor to significantly contribute to the NMAHP Research Unit’s 3 programmes (see below). They must have a track record of academic publication leading to demonstrable impact. They must also be able to demonstrate that they have the ability to work constructively with academic colleagues, policy makers, senior NHS and HEI colleagues and a range of other stakeholders, including patients and the public.
